Ever since the squip had arrived in Jeremy Heere's mind and body, all the squip was to Jeremy was a shortcut for him to be what he wanted, but also be cool while doing it.
The squip, being a supercomputer, couldn't feel human emotions. As his time with Jeremy went along, the squip started feeling human emotions such as frustration and joy. The more emotions that the squip felt, the more he wanted Jeremy all to himself. 
Jeremy had noticed how possessive the squip had gotten, but brushed it to the side because he assumed it was all so the squip could make him cool, just like he wanted, but that all started going downhill when Jeremy encountered his best friend Michael Mell after hours of not seeing him, it being the squip's fault.
