"I won't die in an accident or die of any disease. I will go down in a blaze of glory."

 -Major Suhir Kumar Walia

------

Faye Roanoke was a mystery. A code no one could decipher. A lost soul in a fallen world.
A whisper in a sea of yells.
She's fought and bled alongside countless others. Some who might never come home. With every new death and every new recruit the weight on her shoulders grew heavier. Another life her responsibility. She either saved a soul or killed one.
Finally, after years of carrying the weight of the world, she snapped. The Phoenix Foundation was supposed to be her cooling off period . She was sent there to get away from the war for a little while. But she wasn't expecting a Delta leader to be there. And she didn't expect him to fight his way passed her past and walk away with her heart.

Jack Dalton was supposedly predictable. Every plan already wrote in a book that was open to the public. He had his world inside the Phoenix and for a long time that was enough. But then she came in and he felt like a wandering nomad.
She walked in head back and eyes determined and just like that he found himself falling into something not even Macgyver could get him out of.

"She was a question he wanted to spend his whole life answering."

I was sitting in my garden, watching my sister play in the freshly fallen snow, when all of a sudden I hear an unfamiliar voice behind me. "Whatcha drawing there, Snowflake?"
