Aurora Bakker can't comprehend how she's become involved in a life threatening car accident. She's lived her life for others, strives to do and be good. So why did a man on his phone swerve into her lane and drive her off the road? Why did her car flip twice and end up totaled in a ditch? And why did it have to happen during midterm season? Aurora, or Rory, Bakker is president of the environmental club at Daxton University. From a young age, she knew that her life would be dedicated to saving the Earth- trying to reverse, or at the very least stop, the destruction caused by humans. In order to do this, she disciplined herself. Her entire life was school, work, and research and she wouldn't let anything get in the way of goals. But then she almost dies, and the reflection of her life is more scary than death itself. Oliver Davies is her saving grace. After a day of exams that kicked his ass, he'd been on his way to the Friday night party to drink his worries away. That is until the car in front of him ran off the road. As a witness to the accident, he called the police to make a report and stopped to aid Aurora. After watching her almost die, literally holding her in his arms as she bled an unhealthy amount, he couldn't shake her. Oliver Davies, hockey superstar, had a crush- which is the last thing he ever wanted. The example of 'love' he received from his parents made him emotionally unavailable and avoidant as hell. So when this beautiful, passionate girl comes into his life in a way that feels like fate, Oliver knows he's in trouble.

Danielle Martin isn't a typical girl in high school. She doesn't wear tight clothes or pounds of makeup, she isn't popular and isn't really a big fan of all the attention. Books and Netflix are her Friday nights, staying home and eating sweets and junk. She's small and vulnerable, shy because she doesn't have the life everyone thinks she does. But that all changes... Now, Blake Daniels is a stereotypical high school guy. Captain of the football team, unbearably attractive, and one of the most popular guys to walk the school. To anyone else, his life is amazing. But to him, it sucks. Family issues and lost battles leave him weak and vulnerable to the ones who want to break him more. But that also all changes... Will their newfound love save them from the struggles they face? Can they survive with all the drama and rumors being thrown at them? It all comes down to one thing in the end. Can they make it together?
