There the 8 year old boy stood in that closet, gun raised in hand, standing in front of his own sister. Bracing himself from the possibility of being found. His finger finding the trigger slowly applying pressure as the sliver of light was consumed by a dark shadow.
Silence fell for a short moment before the gun sounded.
