Every person in the world is gifted with an element--fire, water, earth, or air. Those chosen to be the elite of their power are taken to become Hachimen. Hachimen are the ruthless elite military branch in every single one of the four great nations. They are the ones who are sworn to protect the people of the world from the bloodthirsty jinns. They are the supposed heroes of the world but are they? Mina and Khairi are jinies two of only five, they are considered to be second-class citizens, property to the nation. Jinies are half jinn, most die at birth, the few that survive are often killed or abandoned by their own family. They have unnatural powers, cursed with powers outside the elements. Mina and Khairi must learn how to live with their society for they play a bigger role than they once thought.
