Since they were kids, they were told to never go near the abandoned amusement park because of what happened there 15 years ago, and because of what still lived there, and what would happen if they did.
Kate got her friends into this situation, and it's her fault that things turned out the way they did. If only she hadn't of convinced them to sneak out with her that night. This would have never happened. But now she has to live with that.
