4 years ago, Saphire Petrow's older brother, Aaron, disappeared while on an errand. With sectors 130-140 becoming "overpopulated" no one bothers to care when a person leaves and doesn't come back. With disappearances occurring more often since her brother, it is Saphire's job to find out what happened to her brother and uncover the truth behind all the disappearances.

Siblings Isobel and Simon are on the last leg of a journey that started before they were even born. Faded words on a scrap of paper drove their parents to leave the safety of their home. To search for meaning in a dying mans words. Generations ago, something happened that changed the world. Levelled cities. Killed billions. The note is all that remains, containing a single message to those left behind. «We tried too hard to save the world» 'The Answer at the X' is a short story set in a post-apocalyptic world a lot like our own. The story is part of the Legacy Collection, a series-in-planning of short stories and novellas set in this world, that may eventually shed some light on what actually happened when it all came crashing down. --------------------------------------------- I'll be posting this story over the next weeks.
