Phoenix stood shivering in town square, waiting for Damion, her mate, in the rain. People flourished and bustled around as she searched the brunette. 

She glanced down at her watch, which read six o'clock. He was to be there by five.

A small movement in the shadows caught her eye, and the familiar smell of cigarette smoke filled the young wolfs nose. Smirking, she made her way through the crowd over to an ally way. 

Damion flicked his cigarette at her and smiled as she approached, and shot her a knowing glance. She laughed, and smacked his arm playfully.

"I've always loved your sense of pride." she said, and kissed his lush lips. Damions smile grew wider as here turned the favor, kissing Phoenix back. 

"I know." he said, and put out his cigarette. 

"Got any names picked out?" Phoenix asked as she looked down at her growing fetus.

Damion looked over to her, his eyes full of wonder.

"And because I told myself if I ever see you cry over someone who isn't me, I'll make them regret it." Her stomach knotted. Was he joking? Threatening? Or... protecting? "The girl's hair, which had once been pulled back into a ponytail, flipped sideways around her, creating an alarmingly formidable view as the sun rose over the treetops in the distance. The sunrise cast the surrounding area into a golden glow, momentarily blinding the man long enough for the girl to pull the trigger. The following gunshot was deafening to the girl's ears, as she'd experienced so many explosions in the last few hours her hearing was nearly gone. The sun rose completely over the Paris skyline, making the girl's messy red hair resemble thousands of Copper Feathers.
