Je t'aurais presque détesté d'être la vedette du lycée, la star de la famille, la fille parfaite. A cause de toi, je n'ai jamais vraiment existée, j'ai toujours vécue dans ton ombre. Emy referma son carnet qu'elle ranga précieusement sous son oreiller. Elle glissa son stylo dans sa table de chevet, s'allongea et repensa à quel point la mort de sa jumelle a bouleversé sa vie. Les yeux humides, Elle refoula les quelques perles qui roulaient sur sa joue. Essayant d'oublier son passé, La jeune femme se remémora sa journée. Une journée quelque peu ordinaire, à l'exception d'une chose : la venue d'un nouvel élève au lycée. Un jeune homme à la chevelure brune, qui, en apercevant Emy, lui avait adressé un sourire.
