Bliss Evans; A talented vocalist with the brains of a whiz that was given the chance to attend Evermoore School of the Arts on a scholarship, with black curly locks ascending in a cascade down her back, the charcoal color seeming to only bring out her emerald green eyes all the more. See now Bliss doesn’t exactly blend in well among her peers, or for lack of a better word, students that seemed to only care about whether you‘ve gotten laid or not. Bliss is smart, talented, a pupil with a bright future (as Ms. Harris puts it, someone who turns out to be far more than just an exceptional teacher), a girl with integrality, pride, and goals.. And someone who is still intact with her V-card.
Then there’s Blaze Emermend; Jock, deviously handsome, with a killer smile and a bod that makes you disintegrate into a puddle at a mere glance. He has riches, every girl in every color, size and shape, bowing down at his feet. Lets just say he gets around, and rather quickly at that. His only goal? To make Bliss’ life a living hell.
She is smart, he lacks knowledge.
She puts others before herself, he is the king and everyone else are his peasants.
She cares too much, he cares a little less than none.
She spends her time helping others, he spends his in bed with random chicks.
Her name is Bliss; resembling heavenly, his name is Blaze; scorching like fire.
Complete and total opposites. But somewhere along the way Blaze transforms into someone decent, with a kindred heart.
Now facing her senior year, she; A.) wants her voice to finally be heard, other than when she’s singing in the shower, B.) sets her mind to helping her friend with a tragic past, C.) is all the more and utterly determined not to crack under all the virgin chaos and D.) praying and hoping with every whim that she doesn’t fall for Blaze the bad-boy player.
"You just have no idea." His voice was thick with restraint.
"W-what," I breathed.
His gaze flicked to my lips as his thumb stroked again. The calloused pad against my soft flesh sent goosebumps down my arms. His once warm eyes were dark as they lifted and bared into my soul. "What you do to... men." His husky whisper weakened my knees.
I almost fell but his other hand settled on my hip, pulling me closer to him. "What you do to me," he added on a breath. The hand on my jaw shifted. His fingers left trails of tingles as he slipped them back slowly, under my earlobe and into my curls.
