A short story I wrote for a class. I thought it was good enough to put on here. Hope you all like it!
France is torn by the Revolution. Two siblings try to survive through the hard times in Paris but it's not as easy as it seems.

Told in journal entries and letters from Henry's sister Elizabeth, this reveals the realities and horrors of World War I, on the battlefield and in the homefront. He came across Jasmine by chance one day after school while passing by the chorus room, where her voice echoed from within. Her solemn and melodic singing captivated him from the start and unable to resist the magnetic pull, he entered the room and found her there, all alone. He eventually fell in love with Jasmine after spending everyday together inside that chorus room and they became an odd couple for all of high school together. Then without warning and with an vague explanation on graduation day, Laurent left Jasmine, disappearing with his brother. It's been a couple of years now and Jasmine leads a simple life now that she finally acquired after fighting depression a second time but Laurent returns and they cross paths again. This is a short story from the anime/manga Rose of Versailles or also known as Versailles no Bara, Oscar had really only begun her early years in protecting the queen, but upon one day she finds a stranger that was on the brink of death. However, when she awoke from her wounds the woman could not remember anything, not even her own name. They carry on together through the revolution of the people of France. (A couple side notes: It was pretty difficult keeping track of the ages and time jumps they did in the anime, so I apologize if not everything is accurate I did what I could. Also, this is just a short story based on the events in the anime, I recommend you watch it)Lengkap
