Kay Hollister is just a depressed 16 year old who has a horrible life. Ashton Irwin is a 17 year old flower child who has a perfect life.
Kay is new at Ringston's High School. No friends. No one she could talk to. Ashton spots her and decides to be friends with her, or at least try. He sees something in her that he can't see in anyone anymore. Hope. She tries to tell him that she's just a girl but he won't take it.
What happens when Ashton finds out her truth? Will he still see the hope she has or will he see just a girl?
