In the small fishing town of Taiji, Japan, a recently exposed trade of illegal dolphin meat has received national attention after a documentary of it was released last year. Amare Zehr is the daughter of an American journalist sent to Taiji to cover the bloody story. Much to her dismay, her entire family decides relocate to the tiny village until the seven-month fishing period is over. Amare is skeptical; not being much of an animal right activist, she'd much rather be home, playing video games, surfing the web, and not worrying about something as stupid as a dolphin hunt.
