At the frail age of twelve, Madeline Poppy Rider was diagnosed with cancer. Visiting the hospital more than she visits her relatives, she grew sick of the white plaster walls. Hearing more and more terrible things from her doctors, she knew in her bones she didn't have much longer to live. Her mother and father tried their best to think the best of their situation, but as the days went by, they knew that their precious daughter wasn't going to last much longer. When she meets a particularly handsome boy in a quaint cafe, does she push him away, or let him break down her walls?
