All is well in LightningClan. Young apprentice Silverpaw is doing excellent and is progressing rapidly in her training. All that changes when an evil force shows it's ugly face to the clan cats. Cats from LightningClan and BrokenClan are being possessed by deceased followers of Venomstar, a spiteful and cruel former leader of FallenClan. He and his shadow warriors are determined to take over all the clans, once and for all to rule eternally. When the evil spirits take over some of the cats Silverpaw trusted most she is banished from her clan. Where is she destined to be and what is going on? Things are hectic for a newly appointed warrior, Aurorafeather. She has a lot to learn and much to discover. When Hawkflight, Aurorafeather's brother, brings an injured rouge into camp things get tense between LightningClan and BrokenClan. More cats start crossing borders and mysterious acts I hostility are becoming more frequent. But when the BrokenClan deputy uncovers a prophecy about two cats who have to overcome the dark forces things are starting to piece together. There will be a blizzard. There will be a battle. And there are two cats who hold the fate of the clans on their shoulders.

If she can't do it, then she'll never be able to see the face of good again. She'll be another apprentice gone wrong, and all she'll be remembered for is darkness. Sunpaw can't let that happen. But the evil still resides, and Rockpaw might know more about it then he's letting on, even to himself. Greyshard, as a former kittypet, has always thought of life in the Clans as challenging.
