This story is set many many years into the future, and continues the tale of Leonardo. Leo has been living in and learning about the Neath, a gargantuan underground abyss, which is mostly water. This huge expanse of sunless water is known as The Black Sea, and is filled with all kinds of weird and wonderful places, people, and things. Leo has become a sea captain, taking his own ship and crew on whatever adventures he sees fit. He generally operates out of Fallen London, which was the title given to London when it fell from the surface all the way to this deep cavern. Leo will encounter a myriad of new people and places as he journey's to see all that this parallel dimension has to offer.

Mikey had never surfed a day in his life. That didn't stop him from grabbing a board and charging into the waves like he was born for it. His friends were still setting up snacks on the beach, unaware that Mikey was already paddling out - with no experience and definitely no supervision. The first wave knocked the wind out of him. Blinking against the light, he saw someone looming over him. Not just someone. A fish person. With messy black hair, wide blue eyes, and a very concerned expression. "Are you okay?" the fish person asked, fins twitching. Mikey squinted. A mermaid? No-merman?
