Hey guys! This story is a project I'm writing for school. It's about a girl named Kara who came across a snake who told her that his species, the Cyanis Serpents, is being decimated by humans. Why are humans killing the serpents? well, they are killing snakes for their mythical scales/skin (sounds familiar in the real world?) that are thought to render anyone to feel no pain and even give immortality. I closed my eyes ready for my death when I heard a very loud and dangerous growl, I swear I felt the ground under me shook by it. I opened my eyes quickly to see what it is, but I couldn't believe my eyes, I just couldn't. even in this state, me crying mess, in pain, this was just like a dream. H-how is that possible? How can there be a Lycan right in front of me? They exist only in fantasy. I wiped my teary eyes with the back of my hands, it took me only a few seconds to do so, but when I removed my hand the big Lycan which was far away only a few seconds ago was now right in front of me I couldn't help but to scream. How-how did he get here so fast? " p-please let m-me go ... what have I ever done to any of you..?" I felt the hot tears I thought I had them under control falling from my eyes once more. He growled making me cry even harder, I could feel my body starting to shake unstoppably. Just when I didn't know what was next, I felt my self being lifted up in his large arms as I was brought closer to the creature's chest. The experiment.
They used my vulnerability against me. They used that weapon, to make me accept their stupid idea. And I of course, accepted it, I didn't even know what they were going to do. They tugged and poked and even shoved their disgusting finger in your wound, just to see you cry. To see you change. No pitty in their eyes. They just continue. But I had enough of the tugging, the clawing, the moaning, the crying and pleading for them to stop, but simply feeding them with our pain. They turned me into something, that neither do they know what I am. Their afraid of me, of my reflexes, my strength. I killed a lot of them. They say I have a cold heart, that I don't feel nothing. Instead of lounging around, she found herself to be hunted. Apparently, some ancient godly decree said humans had to be spared... which she found incredibly inconvenient. Stumbling upon many people who live and die over time. Until... Enter a tiny snake, full of righteous fury. "I want to kill all of you humans so much!" She hissed, shaking her little tail in frustration. She was currently trapped in the hands of a man whose eyes glowed with an unnatural light. It also doesn't help when their helicopter suddenly malfunctions and the group ends up crash-landing in the middle of a dense jungle with no way of contacting the outside world for help. and to make things worse for poor Lyra, something seems to be stalking her in this new and unfamiliar environment. It's bad enough she's trapped with no way home in such a dangerous place, but when she comes across signs of a monster lurking somewhere on this uncharted isle, she comes to find that the worst of her nightmares have only just begun. because the thing that's been stalking her from the shadows as fangs and scales just like the creatures she fears the most, with intentions of keeping her trapped with it on the isle.
