Hey guys! This story is a project I'm writing for school. It's about a girl named Kara who came across a snake who told her that his species, the Cyanis Serpents, is being decimated by humans. Why are humans killing the serpents? well, they are killing snakes for their mythical scales/skin (sounds familiar in the real world?) that are thought to render anyone to feel no pain and even give immortality. She has done well to avoid the scaly creatures and keep her distance from them even while working as a toxicologist who researches and makes lifesaving cures for snake bite victims. However, working in such a field doesn't completely keep her from interacting or coming close to the animals she fears so much, especially when she's sent on an expedition along with some explorers to an uninhabited island to research and discover new species of plants and animals as well as search for an elusive and highly venomous serpent that is said to inhabit the strange isle. It also doesn't help when their helicopter suddenly malfunctions and the group ends up crash-landing in the middle of a dense jungle with no way of contacting the outside world for help. and to make things worse for poor Lyra, something seems to be stalking her in this new and unfamiliar environment. It's bad enough she's trapped with no way home in such a dangerous place, but when she comes across signs of a monster lurking somewhere on this uncharted isle, she comes to find that the worst of her nightmares have only just begun. because the thing that's been stalking her from the shadows as fangs and scales just like the creatures she fears the most, with intentions of keeping her trapped with it on the isle.

Adventure As A Snake Goddess
It was supposed to be an ordinary, peaceful day. All she wanted was to relax, grow a bit, maybe soak up some sun-nothing crazy after dealing with the past. It was her way to become a goddess. There were many memories and adventure that she went through but she felt it was time for retirement. But no, of course, fate had other plans. Instead of lounging around, she found herself to be hunted. Apparently, some ancient godly decree said humans had to be spared... which she found incredibly inconvenient. Stumbling upon many people who live and die over time. Until... Enter a tiny snake, full of righteous fury. "I want to kill all of you humans so much!" She hissed, shaking her little tail in frustration. She was currently trapped in the hands of a man whose eyes glowed with an unnatural light. He simply stared down at her, entirely unfazed by her threats. It was strange though that he had an odd scent on himself. "You want my deadly bite!" She added, her voice full of venom. Instead of trembling in fear like any reasonable person would, the man just looked... amused. Great. Out of all the humans, she had to get stuck with this guy who was still oddly strange.Complete

I closed my eyes ready for my death when I heard a very loud and dangerous growl, I swear I felt the ground under me shook by it. I opened my eyes quickly to see what it is, but I couldn't believe my eyes, I just couldn't. even in this state, me crying mess, in pain, this was just like a dream. H-how is that possible? How can there be a Lycan right in front of me? They exist only in fantasy. I wiped my teary eyes with the back of my hands, it took me only a few seconds to do so, but when I removed my hand the big Lycan which was far away only a few seconds ago was now right in front of me I couldn't help but to scream.
