Sixteen year old intellectual Violet Grey, juggles her senior year of high school, her constantly arguing parents, her slackers of friends and her need 'to just get the hell out of Briarwood', the small town she lives in. It's fair to say she has the classic case of Teenage Blues but that soon changes when she receives a note from Dylan Parker, the most popular guy at Briarwood High.

At first she thinks its a total cliché, popular guy gets with unpopular girl, breaks her heart by humiliating her and gets on with his life. But over their secret Thursday meet ups she learns that Dylan is a lot more than what's seen on the surface and she realizes her life is more bearable with him in it. But how long will they be able to keep their love hidden? And how will Dylan react when his reputation is at risk? What will happen to Violet if he leaves?.
