Secrets weren't something 18 year old Olivia was accustomed to, but it was something that she quickly learned were kept from her. Her father left her and her mother when she was just a little girl, for reasons unknown. Her mother never told her, and Olivia never asked. Her mom has been the one to keep her safe from that point on.
When her mom decides to tell her the reason her father left, Olivia decides she doesn't want to hear it and avoids what could be the truth.
Abruptly Olivia finds herself being thrown into this "future" that her mother tried to get her to understand.
Apparently Olivia is destined to become something more than anything she could have ever imagined.
Even after a big part of her is taken away, that won't stop the battle between the her future and the secrets of her past.

"Upstairs!" I hear a yell and pounding footsteps. I crawl out of the window until I'm hanging from my hands. I take a breath. I let go. ~ Living in a small town with a single mother, Mia Glenn never expected anything special to come of her life. She never thought she would go on an adventure as harrowing as the stories she read. Until one day she narrowly avoids being kidnapped, discovering in the same day a whole new universe that she is supposedly a part of. Soon Mia discovers that peace isn't as easy as it seems, and while Earthe may be beautiful, there are dark parts that are creeping back to the light. Even in a world of perfect beings such as elves, lies can be spun as precisely as an arrow can pierce a target, and evil can sneak up on you when you least expect it. Mia is used to reading about this kind of stuff, not living it. Safe to say she finds herself in one hell of an adventure. - - TW: if you need a tw for fighting, violence, weapons, blood, death, etc. I would read with caution (I don't get into any gory details, but there are scenes w/ this) I will put tw's for the more violent scenes.Complete
