Scarlet Jones was a survivor in the zombie apocalypse that had been spreading the last 8 years. She was only a little girl when she saw the horror of her own mother being bitten by this human like creature. She was thankful that her and her brother was alive and safe but there was a part of her that wanted more! To be outside the wall and free, to find someone that understood her, to be able to live freely and not in constant fear.
Now meet R, strange name but that's all he can remember of it. He's a corpse and he eats humans for a living but he's conflicted about it. He can't remember anything before the apocalypse, he doesn't have any memories, he can't even dream! He's different from the other corpses, he doesn't enjoy what he does to survive but when he eats the brain he can witness his victims memories. That's what makes him feel human.
What happens when these two meet? Will they put aside the differences and discover the cure? Or will those around them get it the way? With Bonnies closing in and time running out, will they change their dying world? Or will they die with it?

It didn't exactly make it easy to prevent getting infected. Things could have been worse, though, Megan thought. She could've been left all alone to ponder over her thoughts and fear over the future. It'll only be within the time spent with the new group will she find out that everything's not as happy and welcoming as it had seemed. These people had a few secrets of their own, including the real reason they took Megan in. Maria wasn't sure why or how the entity haunted her; she never played with a ouija bound and she never chanted Bloody Mary in her bathroom but on this particular day, when she was home alone, a huge terrifying Monster pounced on her from her closet and attacked her in her own room, the Monster itself was a huge, horrifying, sinister entity with startling glowing yellow eyes that seemed to stare into her soul. The Monster seems to only be interested in Maria and targets her specifically, She has no clue as to why it's haunting her, no, hunting her, but she's determined to find out and put a stop to it before it can send the grim reaper her way.
