Following a tragic accident that left her orphaned, Paityn Ridgeway found herself being haunted by the memories of her late parents. Despite the difficulty of leaving everything behind, she decides to move away in hopes of escaping the torment that comes with memories that linger. She finds a job, a place to stay, and a somewhat peaceful life following her move, and things start to look up for her.
Enter Kyle Strickland. He's gorgeous, quite a sweetheart, and seems to care deeply for Paityn. Though she might not admit it, she finds herself falling for him, and fast. When she's with him, it seems as though her painful memories finally leave her alone.
However, Paityn has a secret that even /she/ is not aware of. She soon comes to discover that the truth is not always as it may seem, and that the phrase, "Dreams are better than reality" holds a lot more truth than she ever thought possible...
