As humans, it is believed that we create our own demons but are they really demons? Is it possible that the things we are calling "demons" are just the things we consider to be different? Why must the ones who are supposedly different be treated so poorly? It's not like they asked to be this way, they're just made like this. A young girl is born into this "different" faction and is in a life or death situation that involves her, her "other half," and everyone else around her. She has to choose to either embrace the darkness and become one with her other half or go against what she was born to be and save everyone from the one thing causing all the problems, herself.

Rules are stated that if a human finds out about you, you must kill that human. Somehow he couldn't do it, though this girl is rude to him, she doesn't believe him, so there would be no point. The day after an ordeal happens which causes Dazod to have to stay in the human dimension and having to protect Esme... even if he didn't want to at first. She was not born an angel. She was made into one. The church called it salvation, though she and the others knew better. They were experiments-children forced to carry the blood of something greater, something divine or perhaps monstrous. The priests never revealed whose blood it was, only that it belonged to a "god." She never saw that god, never even knew its name. But she felt it in her veins every day-burning, reshaping, devouring what was once human inside her. From the ritual came her wings: vast and terrible, twelve feet of shadowed feathers stretching behind her, with smaller, flame-lined wings sprouting at her feet. With them, she flew faster than arrows and struck harder than any sword. Fire itself bent to her will, rising and falling with her breath, a weapon she alone commanded. For years she fought in the war of men. Cities burned, armies fell, and still the blood in her veins demanded more. But no power, not even hers, could shield her from loss. Three of her companions-those who had shared the same cursed experiment-were gone, their bodies left behind on the battlefield. Friends. That's what they always had been, whenever either of them had problems they told each other from a very young age. Always sticking together with seemingly no problems, if only they knew just how quickly that could all change. Him. A half demon half angel, bred by accident and then put onto Earth into another family so he could have a somewhat normal life until the time came where he would either become a full demon or full angel. Her. A full angel from the start, for her own safety she was put on Earth to protect her from a harsh fate she didn't deserve at the cost of her true parents life's. Up until then they both had always stuck by each other no matter what, he was always the more quiet of the two whilst she was a little more outgoing and stubborn.
