Y/N had always been a quiet presence, blending into the background as the world moved on without her. Growing up in a broken home where fights echoed through the walls and addiction ruled the nights, she learned early on that survival meant hiding the bruises, physical and emotional. Her parents, once filled with hope, now only carried rage and emptiness. To cope, Y/N turned to the cold, bitter comfort of cigarettes, her escape from the never-ending weight on her chest. Everything changed when a new boy, Kuroo Tetsurou, moved into the house next door. At first, he was just another stranger in the sea of faces at school, but as the years passed, he became something more. The seemingly carefree, charismatic boy soon became the most popular and feared in high school. As captain of the volleyball team, his presence was commanding, yet Y/N could always see the softer side of him that no one else seemed to notice-a side that only ever showed itself when he was around her. Now, in high school, Y/N feels the burden of depression and low self-esteem weigh heavier than ever, trying to keep her head above water while the world around her continues to push her deeper into the abyss. She hides behind her smoke breaks and late-night walks, battling inner demons while trying to ignore the relentless taunts of her peers. Kuroo, despite his own battles and reputation, continues to keep a watchful eye on her. There's something about Y/N that pulls him in, something that makes him want to protect her in ways he's never cared for anyone else. But the question remains: can Y/N learn to believe in herself, or will the weight of everything she's been through consume her before she has a chance to find a way out?
