When the world is taken over by Supers, people with superhuman abilities that live to be immortal after they arrive to the age of 20, one human girl wishes to make a difference.
After having her life saved during a confrontation between Hero and Villain, she finds herself slowly becoming more and more immersed in the Supers world.
Will Anastasia be able to listen to her mind, or will she be consumed by her heart?

I'm not like the other girls. I used to be just a girl who just worried about friends and school. But now all I do is read about fantasy and romance. It is definitely cringey because I'm bad at dialogue, and the running gag of the story is that I will use every conceivable romantic trope. [STORY HAS BEEN REBOOTED] Ivy just burned her boarding school to the ground, but that's the least of her problems. People are chasing her, the government wants to lock her up, and a group called Scorpion wants to recruit her. Ivy quickly learns that she isn't alone in the world. There are other kids like her. Kids with powers. They are known as the Supers, and now it's up to them to stop Scorpion. The fate of the country, and possibly the planet, depends on it. The Supers don't know it yet, but the whole world is about to change. They've become a part of something much bigger than an experiment gone wrong, or a fight for power, or the strange and sinister organizations trying to use the Supers for their own purposes. Something that could be bigger than the universe itself.

Shortlisted for the Open Novella Contest 2019 • Being a Supervillain is tough. Between managing a secret lair and making sure your mom doesn't stop loving you because you keep telling everyone she's dead, it's a really hard business to be good at? Add to that, the fact that somehow you got arrested because your cat sitter didn't take the day off and then you go around expressing your unconditional love for pancakes in a Super holding cell because technically they can't put you in a proper prison and you don't really have a choice because lawyers are expensive? And then, you realise your best friend is plotting go take over your spot as the greatest villain there ever was? Okay, maybe not the greatest, but you do come pretty close to it! To top it off, there's that one Superhero who's just so completely gorgeous, you couldn't imagine any harm coming to them? Because they're just that precious? I guess that makes me a Supervillain with minor time travel superpowers and a huge crush on a not so powerful Superhero? And all you have to do is protect yourself and everyone you love from your ex best friend/sidekick --because let's face it that's the highest level of praise for a wretched traitor here--and you also have to get out of Super Holding somehow? Your sparkling metropolis with only a very minor case of major organized crime that you will barely notice apart from the city-wide turf war between the two mega crime rings struggling for sole control. If you're fearing for your safety, don't! Reported crime is at an all-time low so this is the perfect place to settle down, get married, raise a family, and watch everything you've worked so hard to build burn to ashes the moment you cross the wrong superhuman mafia grunt. A young woman wakes up in the hospital, with no memories other than the fact she had just been horribly injured in a fight, and she has superpowers. It's hard to be surprised by such news when it is the only memory you possess. Superpowers are just a fact of life at that point. The superpowers news turned out to be quite original for the rest of the world, which was entirely unaware someone like her existed at all. There is, however, an underground world of others like her, a criminal empire working toward something she had been trying to stop. But with no knowledge of what the villainous plan was, who these criminals were, or how to properly use her powers, things seem grim. She knows she is the only one who can stop them, and the only backup she has is a man who claims to have been her friend from before the accident.
