The year 3030, many thought that by this time we'd have the most advanced technologies a person could ever even begin to imagine, a cure for all diseases, a cure for aging. Most before imagined a futuristic society, imagined that society would only move forward. Unfortunately, they couldn't have been more wrong. Following the Great War spanning from 2930-2940 also commonly referred to as The War of the Century, society reverted back to the monarchies only heard of in history books and fairy tales. The many countries of the world were divided into kingdoms each with its own king and queen. The first kings and queens were selected by a hasty and desperate election. People were in dire need of leadership immediately following the war. All future kings and queens will be selected through inheritance of the thrown and marriage. Out of the two options, the one that pertains to me is unfortunately marriage. Historically, the North and South Regions of the Korean peninsula have always had on going tension and conflict between them. After the war, what was once North Korea as well as a small portion of northern China became the kingdom of Alba, and South Korea and Japan combined to form the kingdom known as Amias. In recent years, tensions have begun to rise between Alba and Amias over resources and divided families split between the kingdoms when the borders were hastily drawn following the war. Nowadays, monarchs are so fearful of even the idea of there maybe being a possibility of another war big or small that they will do anything to prevent it, even marry off their only daughter (me if you haven't already figured that out) to the crown prince of Amias, Jeon Jungkook.
