"I was not expecting to see such a beautiful man in that small cafe on 31st Street. Nor did I expect to fall in love with him from afar. But, being the shy person I was, I just looked at him through the lens of my camera, hoping that one day I would gain enough courage to actually talk to him. But all I really needed were the daily pictures I snapped of him."

❃ ❃ ❃

Camilla Monterio is a photographer. An amazing one at that. But one day, she heads to the small cafe down the street, and spots the most gorgeous boy she's ever seen. Being 17, almost 18, she wants to take a chance and do something she would never do otherwise: she snaps a picture of him.

But little does she know, the nerdy boy from her school is slowly trying to get her attention. Will she realize that someone else had feelings for her and forget about Mystery Boy? Or will she keep taking those daily photos of Mystery Boy long enough to realize that maybe it wasn't the best thing to do in the first place?

"That was weird, but I can't stop my heart beating ten times faster than it should be. Laying down on the bed I face away from the bathroom door not wanting him to look at me. I pull the white cover up to my nose and look at the wall. I hear the bathroom door open and footsteps reach closer to the bed. The covers are being moved behind me as Mateo gets ready to sleep. I reach up to turn off the lap on my nightstand, and when I do we're left in the dark abyss of my room. Mateo's arm wraps itself around my waist and pulls me back into his hard chest. He gently lifts my head up and puts it back down onto his bicep. I take in a shaky breath and close my eyes deciding it is best to just sleep. Feeling his breath on the crown of my head, I'm more relaxed than I was before and start feeling sleepier by the second. But before sleep overtakes my mind. I hear Mateo mutter something. "Good night sweetheart." ~~~~~~ Moving on. Growing up. The fears of Mateo and Veronica. Two strangers who have been attending the same high school for the past three years. They believe they are different from each other but they have much more in common than they believe. Senior year things change when Mateo finds an interest in Veronica. "Why are you here, sitting next to me? I thought I said you should never talk to me," I snapped at Nicolas. "Should I answer that or should I not talk to you?" He asked with a smirk planted on his handsome face and I narrowed my eyes at him. ****** Being a little person and standing at the height of 4'3" feet at the age of sixteen does not only scream abnormality for a teenage girl like Camilla. It alludes to constant bullying and struggles to fit in this big world. As if being the only little person in her family is not enough to make her feel strange. She has to deal with her over-protective mother, perfect brothers and high school. With all those unfair circumstances, It takes an average-height, hot-looking boy like Nicolas to make it 10x worse. Choosing her to be part of the boys' Hockey team leads to even bigger problems. As she discovers the reason behind Nicolas's sudden interest in her, it unravels a journey of discovery, never to be erased and a turn of events for the two contradicting characters. Limits are tested when overprotective mothers interfere. With an unruly, fine-looking boy with nothing to lose and an unparalleled girl like Camilla you never know where this journey will lead... If you want to hate, laugh, cry or scream in your pillow and dive into a love\ hate relationship with every character in a story then this is the perfect story for you.
