She'd never be enough to meet the standards they set for a true, worthy warrior. So when the tragedy struck, and the one person she knew she had on her side left her... she became everything they never thought she could be. She became powerful. She became strong and fierce. She became a warrior. Johara Black understood the sorrows of being underestimated and neglected better than anyone. Besides her mother, everyone believed her to be weak and powerless. After her mother's death, Johara's bitterness and resentment towards those people festered. She was tired of being cast aside by her brother and his friends. She was tired of being neglected by her father. She was tired of being ignored by everyone. When she befriends a nice old lady that takes Johara under her wing and trains her to become something more powerful than anyone could imagine, she finds herself being offered the chance to prove them all wrong...
