"Thou shalt not surrender to those of injustice."

Being named "Justice" isn't as easy as one would have thought especially if you specialize in the Art of War. However, that's how things seem to be for Astraea Twine, Commander in Chief of the armies of Ecarlious.
Since long, Astraea has taken a blind eye to the pull of guilt. After all, doesn't the greater good always win? Yet, Astraea can't help but doubt the crown's power... and intentions.
For far too long, too many wrongdoings have been done, staining her hands bloody. Too many lives taken for the mere greed of the crown.
Slowly regrets began to devour her, piece by piece... Those innocent lives slaughtered. Children and elders both, burn. Life to ash. Warm to cold. Simple as that.
As Astraea begins to doubt the lines of friends and foes, a price comes about. The crowd hears the news...of her betrayal.
Now no longer the once respected Commander, but rather the treacherous traitor. No longer does she serve injustice, no longer will she cower in the presence of the crown. Together with many newly founded allies, her conquest to a better world begins.
Perhaps, even love is possible, the one thing that could ruin all. Yet so strong, enough to unite us all.
In the world of where magic and power rules all, one cannot hope but to surrender.

And thus forward will the dance of life and death begin.
Long live the Commander of Legends.

On a fateful night, Max Walker finds himself summoned to Asterisk and contracted to Liliana Lockwood as her familiar. Forced to leave behind his life on Earth, Max begins a precarious journey into the unknown world of magic. Training as a knight, learning to control mana, battling rogue necromancers and even being mistaken for Duke Walker's son... it's just one thing after the next. But as if that wasn't bad enough, Asterisk, a world which subverts reality as you know it, may just have something to do with Max's own heaven-defying origin... and a secret that could leave the universe hanging by a thread. "You can't tell anyone." His words hit me hard, but I was ready for them. I grimaced slightly, but did my best to hide it as I squeezed my arms in response. "Fine," I said, nodding at him but not wanting to meet his eyes. I was met with silence. "Was there anything else?" I bit off, my tone a little more irritated than I intended it to be. He raised an eyebrow at me, and I felt almost naked as he studied me. His expression wasn't completely cold, but I couldn't figure out what else it held. "I wasn't expecting this," he admitted eventually, as if this were the easiest topic in the world. "I didn't ask for it to happen right now. In fact, the timing is rather terrible. And I'm sorry for that. But no one can know about this, okay? No one." "I said fine," I snapped. "Why don't you just reject me and put me out of my misery? I guarantee I can do it again." He blinked, taken aback by her sudden outburst. "You... already had a mate? And you were rejected? Who is he?" "You don't need to know," I replied, tilting my head to one side as I narrowed my eyes at him. "If you want to keep secrets, then so can I." I wasn't off to a great start with him, but only the Moon Goddess knew that it was only going to get worse from here. . . . Rhea Riverwood has already been rejected once by the man she thought to be her mate, so when she's given a second chance, she can hardly believe her luck when it comes in the form of heartbreaker James Severin, King of the Alpha Werewolves and Rhea's second fated mate. Rhea struggles to come to terms with who she is and where she came from as James struggles with his feelings for her, but they need to pull their shit together fast when someone close makes it very clear they want revenge and the royal throne, and won't stop at murder to get them.

But will they be able to find it in time? Meanwhile, in the East, The Duran Empire marshals their forces as the Emperor seeks to invade the starved desserts of Sudra. But the Sudra hold a terrible secret and Queen Nymati will not go down without a fight. * * * Imagine if Tim Burton and Joss Whedon got together to make a story to rival Full Metal Alchemist or Fairy Tail: that's my writing style. But their people have other priorities which threaten to upend their lives once more. Division is spreading between the people who are pushing for Tarion and Morana to be crowned Asterria's new King and Queen, and those who believe their purpose has been served. She has caused an uproar of disaster throughout her rule, her twenty years of disgusting hatred and abuse of power. She has caused a war between us and her allies, she has forced the Great Commission to fall into her lap and has created her own "Congress" for all the countries she has not claimed as her own and forced them under laws that strip them of their own freedoms unless they comply to her own. She, dare I say, is worse than Esmerelda. And during all of this, she professed to say that I will continue her work when she is gone. I can guarantee her that when she is gone, it'll be due to me.
