Fire Heart is a village constantly under the attack of dragons. Every year, five thirteen-year-old boys have five days to sail to an island, kill a dragon and bring back the head as proof. On the island of Dumais, a baby was sent across the sea as her homeland was engulfed by war. A woman, rather a mother, traveled with the baby girl. The two sailed across stormy seas before landing on an island called Berk. This island is were the baby grew and found herself with mixed feelings for the dragon beast and for a certain boy, rather the Chiefs son. Only things don't turn out the way she thought after that one night.
