But one year only four boys get through the trails to take part, so for the first time in 500 years a girl is chosen to go. But what happens when Silvia finds a hurt baby dragon of a new species and trains it? What adventures await for them? And what secrets lurk within the village of Fire Heart?

Even when growing up, Elia didn't fit in with the other girls. They would dress up in dresses. She wore cloaks. They would cook and sew. She would throw knives. They liked boys. She liked bows.
