If they do not receive the things they require they can grow to be small, disabled, or even die. ~ The leaders of Altea and Dibazzal came to a consensus hundreds of thousands of years ago that determined the age of maturity for their children to be 100 years old or 30 years in a human based time line. ~ Near the beginning of the large, intergalactical war, a decision was made. Any child shall not participate in the war, be harmed, or mistreated until they reach the age of maturity. The cause of breaking the law is death or exile. Keith always thought he was a human. He had no reason to think otherwise. His father, a fireman who died when he was 8, was the only parent he had. He thought he was human even through the pull of the blue lion, the trip through space, and even when he joined a small group called "The Paladins of Voltron." However, when he met his first Altean, things started to unravel. Unwanted cravings for love and attention surfaced with no apparent cause. At the crux of the war that ended with the destruction of planet Altea, King Alfor separated Voltron to protect him from falling into the evil Galra King Zarkon's possession. King Alfor sent the Voltron Lions across the universe to different locations to hide them from Emperor Zarkon. Princess Allura, Alfor's royal adviser Coran, and the Altean Castle of Lions were hidden on planet Arus along with the Black Lion. In the present, the Galra Empire's path of conquest and search for Voltron has led them to Earth's solar system. A group of space pilots-Shiro, Keith, Lana, Pidge, and Hunk-discover the Blue Lion and immediately get swept up into the Galran War. They meet Princess Allura, become the new Paladins, and reunite the five Lions to form Voltron, beginning their fight to liberate the universe from the Galra Empire. Book Cover belongs to me.
