There are 4 main kingdoms. Makana, Ruckagoe, Kleilrog, and Hogbith. Makana is the kingdom of Elves, Ruckagoe is the kingdom of Humans, Kleilrog is the kingdom of Wizards, and Hogbith is the kingdom of bandits. Centuries ago all 4 kings held a meeting in Makana. The Elven king wished for peace among all 4 kingdoms. Ruckagoe and Kleilrog agreed but Hogbith refused to listen. He had been secretly plotting against the other kings for a while now. He thought that he should be the ruler of all kingdoms. His anger soon got the best of him and he stormed out of the room.

Once he got back to his palace, he ordered the stone workers to build a wall all the way around the exterior of the kingdom. The wall still stands to this day. None of the other kingdoms have seen the inside since the wall was built. Rumor has it that it's a barren wasteland past those walls. No one knows for sure. No one's been through the gates in years. Those who try to pass always fail. Most of them never come back. The ones who do become mute.
