She and I had a dream. We wanted to make a better life for ourselves than the one our parents chose for us. We didn't want to live in a messed up house where the cold seeped in through the cracks and the heater was selective in the days it worked. We would often encourage each other in our studies when we felt we couldn't take it anymore and our parents provided no comfort. She was three years younger than me but that didn't stop her from taking care of me as much as I took care of her.
