Anna is a new senior at Grand Rapids Prep from Atlanta. After her parent's divorce she left everything she knew behind: her friends, her dad, her school, and her boyfriend Brandon. She is paired with fellow new student, Ashlynn, in the Grand Rapids Prep's new Senior Buddy System. Turns out the very own Founder of the Buddy System, Amber, is Anna's very own Senior Buddy. If it weren't for her ambitious and bitchy personality, Anna wouldn't feel so bad for crushing on her boyfriend.
Aiden doesn't care about school. He doesn't care about most things, in fact, and is ready to finish his senior year with a breeze. He's worked hard all four years to stay salutatorian, soccer team captain, and finish his demo as his senior project. Unfortunately, Amber and Principal Matthews have other plans for his last year at Grand Rapids Prep.
Brian is a new student at Grand Rapids Prep. He wants to drop out and help his mom pay the bills after his Dad passed away in a car accident the summer before, but his Mom won't have it. He hopes that being the new student will make him invisible, but he still manages to attract the attention of some "friendly" bullies and the dreaded school's Senior Buddy System.
Amber is number 1. She's President of the Student Council; she's Magna Cum Laude; she's the volleyball's team captain; she volunteers at the Humane Society on the weekends; and, of course, she set in motion the Senior Buddy System at her senior project. She has it all. Or does she?
These four are forced to push through their last year of high school under the same roof and the only thing they have in common is the comforting fact that they're all one thing: losers.
