Renee has lived a not so simple life making trusting a caring for others very difficult. At the age of 12 she woke up to hear a loud slam coming from the front of the house. Tip toeing her way downstairs she witnessed her father on the bottom of the steps holding a picture of her mother while crying. Since Renee is very intelligent she can infer what had happened leaving her wonder why her mother would leave. Growing up without a mom is hard but also growing up as one of the last Shifters on Earth is even harder.
Dylan on the other hand has grown up as the alphas son with girls throwing themselves at him. He is of course a werewolf and the upcoming alpha of his pack, The Dark Moon pack, along with being the school's best quarter back. Even though he has what every high school student wants; popularity, girls, and friends. He still has a longing for his mate. Someone who will understand him and not just want him because of his pack and social status.
