Oasis

Oasis, meaning, a pleasant or peaceful area or period in the midst of a difficult, troubled, or hectic place or situation. I've worked here at the bakery for two years now. My aunt Barbra gave me the job, knowing I needed it to take care of my younger sister, Piper. My parents neglect her and I, and the day I turn eighteen you know I will take custody of her. But for now, I'm the helpless sixteen year old, who's seventeenth birthday is coming up. For now I have Piper, and that's it. I don't need anyone else. I haven't for a long time. My whole world is somewhat normal, besides the fact that I was forced to raise myself, and now my sister because my parents are alcoholics, might I add, with alcoholic friends. My 'somewhat normal' life is about to change the minute the boy with brown, curly hair came in for a visit of his old life.
