A little prologue for a mafia text I've got planned. This was originally nothing but a demo, but it quickly turned into this, what i personally think is one of the best prologues I have written. It's quite gritty, but it's got a fitting atmosphere for the time period.

The Mafia's Mercy
The darkness in his eyes, the dangerous smell of alcohol in his breath, and his deathly grip keeping me bound to him made my heart pound in my chest and my body quiver beneath him. "WHY CAN'T YOU GET IT INSIDE YOUR HEAD?" He trapped my trembling body between his arms and slammed his fist into the wall. I flinch at the sound as I feel tears forming in my eyes.
