Her closest companion slick with blood, its sharpened blade gently shimmers in the dawns infant light. Her lost sisters corpses lay staring, gawking at the auburn wings unfurled over the dying stars overhead. She is not alone. Her thoughts were always a comfort; but now they are her captors, her unloyal friends who have left her for dead by their hand. Her blood was spilt on this empty, hollow ground just like her mother's was last fall. Her blood mother is in Valhalla, where her last child, when she is taken by her foes, yearns to rejoin her mother in the land of eternal fighting and Feasts. Where the valkyries Fly and rule.
