Brandon Matthew, 25, is a soldier on his 3rd tour in Iraq when he gets the letter. He loves the Army but his family is more important.

Mason Knight, 23, a man who due to abuse by his father for being gay, is afraid of large man and stutters. He is a first grade teacher who really loves kids. When he just happens to walk into a fight between two parents he experiences a flashback of his childhood.
