Unexpected Intrusion

L and Light have fallen in love. It started off slow: small smiles and things whispered in the dead of night, but now it's full blown. They are both irreversibly in love and there is no backing out now. After Higuchi's capture and Light's rediscovery that he is Kira he struggles with what to do. He has never dealt with his emotions getting in the way of his plans before. Light doesn't know if he wants to kill L anymore. All of his plans might be ruined and he might want to give up the Death Note for good.

Set early in the series, like around episode 18(I think). This happens right after Light and Misa are released from confinement. The story is basically going to be an AU(I guess) in which L and Light fall in love, while Higuchi is Kira. It's really just a story for me to get back into writing fanfiction again. It's going to be a deep look into Light's character(both while he is and isn't Kira). The romantic part is going to be a bit of a slow build, but I'll get there eventually. The main point of the story is Light's internal struggle after falling in love with L.
