Avery, a sophomore in high school who, with permission from his parents, started living by himself. He loves what he does in his free time, but there's one problem, the voices in his head. Since Avery was 10, he could hear random voices. At first he didn't know where they were coming from, but then he found out he could hear people's thoughts when his family were planning his 11th birthday. He doesn't want to tell anyone, and he miraculously hasn't been caught... Besides all the mind reading, Avery has another problem, and his name's Dante.

Dante, the ever-so called man amongst men. He is the epitome of all manliness, and he always gets what he wants, but he has one fatal flaw... he's in love with Avery. Dante wants to be with Avery, but he fears that Avery's still upset about what happened in middle school.

Avery was being abused at school, Dante being one of his bullies. But things changed one day after a certain altercation. Avery ended up in the hospital. Dante went to visit Avery because he had a strange kind of worry for him. Avery, having been given anesthesia, thought he was dreaming, so he confessed his feelings to Dante, but Dante didn't really respond in the best way. After that, Dante hadn't seen Avery since.

Two years pass by, and Avery wants to start off his sophomore year by finally getting over Dante and actually using his powers to his advantage, but Dante has other plans... He'll stop at nothing to get Avery's attention, no matter who or what gets in his way.
