Amelie grew up in London. Her best friend Emma lived next door. When she was twelve her father got blind. Soon after that the first cracks appeared in her parents' marriage. When she was sixteen she fell in love with her best friend's brother. Amelie and Tom had a great summer together, young and in love. But It couldn't last. Her parents got divorced and she moved with her father to Bergues a small village in France, where he was originally from.
Sixteen years later Amelie is a renowned Translator in Paris and moves back to London, to work. Meeting her best friend again and her old love.
