The Promised Testaments

After being rescued and adopted by two unorthodox drifters in the 1890s, Eidel and her sisters start life never belonging anywhere, before finally settling down on a breezy island. There they are faced with trials, religious prejudice and eventually war.

But there are three things that help Eidel rise up through it all- her darling sisters, her ambition and the young boy she grows up with and learns to love. And even when the tribulations come, she must find a way to hold onto them while never losing connection to her Jewish identity.
