Quinn Mikaels is the child prodigy. She graduated college at fourteen, has lots of friends, and can do pretty much anything she sets her mind to. Her mother died when she was very young which is why she always focuses on making a great life for herself. But that's not the only reason. Her father is abusive so if she steps out of line she risks being hurt. Then, one day her dad gets a new job coaching the New York Yankees and Quinn couldn't be more excited. Not only is she a prodigy in the classroom, she is a prodigy on the field, playing baseball with the boys after finding softball not challenging enough. However, her father forbids her from playing because he knows something she doesn't, a deep secret he refuses to tell her.
