Alessandro Calastri is the Assistant General Manager of a popular Greenwich Village restaurant, where his responsibilities include scheduling and directing the restaurant staff. He started out as a research analyst at a brokerage firm right out of college, but decided he was better suited to work in the hospitality business. He was born and raised in New York, but has deep Italian roots, and visits relatives in Italy at every opportunity. He has two certificates from the International Culinary Center, and is also a graduate of Providence College, where he majored in International Relations and minored in Spanish.
