It seems reality as she knows it is a lie, but not even old wives with wise tales could have prepared her for this. Her biggest worry used to be getting dressed in a clean outfit before anyone noticed that she slept in the office, again. Now she must deal with having an immortal vampire as a soulmate, knowing she is fated to loose his affection in 50 years' time. She watches the bitter and angry face of Ana in the shadows of every day. A reflection and constant reminder of what she will become, the pain she will have to live with. Watching him replace her with a new lover as she is now replacing Ana. She cannot blame Ana for hating her, nor can she find it in her heart to hate her or chase her away.
