Amidst All The Animosities

Said a voice in my head and a blinding light flashed before my eyes before I fell from the heavens, shouting to death. My voice echoing on the clouds as I fell through them. A thunder strike.

I woke up squinting my eyes as a light was pointed directly at me. Blurry faces started to get clearer as I tried to cover my face from the light. I then noticed my hands. Woah. They were so little. And then my gaze shifted towards the faces infront of me. A couple smiling on my left and a nurse holding a clipboard with mask on her face.

"Got a name for the baby yet?" The lady with the mask asked.

"Yes. He will be Lucifer. My baby Cifer," the other woman answered with a smile. I chuckled. A soft infant giggle escaped my lips.

"You will find her amidst of all the animosities. This is your last chance, Lucifer. Or you'll forever be trapped in a life filled with endless animosity," another voice in my head said.

Ah shit. Here we go again. This is my fifth reincarnation already. The fifth century from when I fell. The last chance. I cried and wailed in frustration as I throw tantrums towards my new parents who instantly lulled me to calm down.

"Lucifer it is then," said the nurse before leaving the room.

I giggled and I felt my eyes glinted red as I decided to burn the nurse's hair. Another giggle escape my little lips when I saw a little poof of fire at the bottom of her hair followed by the frantic screaming in the hallway.

"Lucifer!" Both my parents warningly said as they set me down to my little bed. All I can do is grunt as I extinguish the fumes from her hair. Curse this baby form.
