Mystery
When a young girl disappears from her Oxfordshire mansion, a lonesome, opium-addicted academic descends into the underworld of Victorian England to find her, uncovering a ghastly conspiracy that leads to the throne. The origin story of ALICE IN WONDERLAND. This is my first "adult" novel and is something very different to MetaWars or Alienated in terms of tone, but no less ambitious in terms of character, story and world-building. This is a visceral, opium-fueled, revenge thriller set underneath the aristocracy of Victorian London. Like with Star Pressed, I'm sharing this in a pre-edited form with my amazing wattpad followers. I love you guys! There will be spelling / grammar errors and the final, published version will be different. I'll keep you posted on that front.

I would never admit this to anyone for as long as I lived, and I was going to hell for thinking it, but Theo Romano was hot when he was angry. It wasn't until I finished my dramatic speech did I notice he was standing a few inches from me. I could smell his intoxicating cologne, and I had to hold back every bone in my body that told me to jump him. I'd really done it now. I had pissed off the underboss, and I wasn't even officially hired yet. ***** Amelia Monet had built an empire for herself. To be fair, there was never a shortage of jobs for an assassin. Leaving quickly from a job Amelia walked past a bar that caught her eye. If she had known how much her life would change after that night would she still have walked through those doors? She still couldn't answer that question. That night became the first time she met Theo Romano, heir to the Italian Mafia, and unfortunately for Amelia it wouldn't be the last. ***** This book is considered mature. I don't want to upset anyone. This is the warning to potential triggers of murder, suicide, abuse, and adult themes.
