A wolf named Zasha lives out in the forest, but all of that changes. After a few months, Zasha is captured by humans and is taken where other dogs are. Zasha begins to love his owner, and makes new friends just as if he were a dog. Soon enough, he and the other dogs become part of a dog sled team, and they race in the Dog Sled Races. After the sled crashes and Zasha is separated from the other dogs, he must go back to find his friends and loving owner.
