When the dhampir Alucard Tepes, wakes from his slumber after a century has passed, he wakes to the twenty-first century. 2017, to be exact. His first feeding leads him to a young woman by the name of Augury Evans. Only twenty-one years old, her deadbeat parents kicked her out when she turned eighteen and has been struggling to survive ever since. It also didn't help that she suffered from paranoid delusions, hallucinations, and depression.
    
    When Alucard finds her he attempts to feed from her. Thinking it is another one of her hallucinations, hoping it is real, she begs him to do it. To take her life. Realizing this woman needs help rather than a death sentence, he takes her to his home in The Shade. Home to the vampires in the magical world. He gives her counsel from the best among them.  What happens when they begin to fall for each other? What happens when Alucard's enemies come out from the shadows and threaten Augury? And what happens when a prophecy is foretold about her, that could spell doom for all of creation? You must read to find out.

    Alucard is loosely based on the mythology behind him and on the character from Castlevania. Everything else will be loosely based on mythology and folklore from different regions around the world, I'll try and list sources at the end of chapters.
